Fibromyalgia remedies are often stumbled upon purely by chance. When you find a remedy that works for you its worth sticking to it and experimenting with it as the relief can be enormous.
How I cope with Fibromyalgia
I find that when I'm stressed the fibromyalgia gets worse. I have tried various painkillers but nothing has worked so I gave up on prescription drugs and I don't like taking medication.
While I was searching for alternative and natural fibromyalgia remedies, I found a crazy Italian guy on YouTube who had fibro who was ranting about the effectiveness of juicing to get rid of the fibro pain. He had suffered from fibro pain for years and was just about at the end of his tether until he found juicing.
I wasn't new to juicing, I already had a juicer so decided to start juicing to see if it would get rid of the pain.
I juiced for two days, no other foods just juice, four of them each day and to my amazement the fibro pain went. The relief from the pain was wonderful. This only works as a temporary measure, it does not get rid of fibro completely. But it is a blessing when you are riddled in pain, knowing that you can juice and the pain will go.
This is how I manage the fibro. We should all try to live stress free lives but its impossible to avoid stress completely, so when I get stressed and get the fibro pain I turn straight to the juicer as I know that usually the next day I am pain free.
But when I am having a fibro flare up, it takes about 4 days of pure juicing, daily Reiki treatments and EFT tapping several times a day, for everything to subside and start feeling 'normal' again. Fibromyalgia remedies are not quick and do take time to work.
Your Healing Level
Everyone with fibro will have different degrees of pain and symptoms so juicing will work in varying degrees also. For some people it may only take a day or two for juicing to work, others it may take a week of juicing. So its important to know that you have to experiment with juicing, to find your healing level, how many days it takes for you.
If I know I have a stressful situation on the horizon I start juicing beforehand to avoid the pain. Although fibro pain can hit you for no apparent reason.
A Typical Juice Recipe
Put all the fruit and vegetables, except the banana and avocado, through the juicer. Pour the juice into a blender with the banana and avocado and blend for a few seconds. You can put ice cubes in the mixture to give a beautiful cool drink. This makes enough for 4 juices for the day.
Nutrients to heal
There are so many juicing recipes available on line. Experimenting with your own recipes can be fun and also researching the nutritional value of foods to use when making your own juices.
For example ginger is a natural anti-histamine, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic, helps with travel sickness, helps to stop blood clots and lower cholesterol. It contains copper, potassium, sodium, iron, calcium, zinc, phosphorus and magnesium.
I now start my day with a green smoothie to ensure my body has plenty of nutrients.
I usually make my juices in the morning and then I store my juices in the fridge until I'm ready to drink them throughout the day. Don't leave them for more than 24 hours though. The juices can also be made and put in the freezer. This is something I do for emergencies as you never know when the pain is going to strike.
